The Gustafson Pools Story
After the Gustafsons built an in-ground pool for their children, they decided it should be easier to get supplies and service in their area. In 1982, Gustafson Pool and Spa. was born.
A building in downtown Hartford was purchased and developed for this new business venture, then expanded, and then expanded two more times since!
Once Mr. Gustafson retired from his teaching career, he and his wife ran the business full time, Spring until Fall, with the help of their children during their college breaks.
After working as an accountant for a CPA firm several years, their son Eric began his own accounting business and joined Gustafson Pool and Spa as a partner in 1990.
Eric and his wife are now the sole owners, with the help of a fully trained and loyal staff.
"We have developed many friendships over the years through our business," states Eric. "Each Spring we look forward to many returning faces to our store! We catch up, and then discuss how we can make their pool season great!"
Gustafson Pools sets itself apart from other companies because of their service, attention to detail and the focus that comes from building one pool at a time.
